Building a notebook, let alone a 2-in-1, seems to be a favoured go-to strategy for those keen on wanting a share of the still growing mobile device marketplace. Harvey Norman, the latest entrant to jump in, has put out its own take on the platform with the release of its Charge+ W10 2-in-1 notebook.

With support from Intel Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia, Harvey Norman managed to do the unexpected and, going by the specs alone, put together a pretty decent detachable mobile PC platform. Underneath the 11.6in display panel is an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Quad-Core 1.84GHz System-on-Chip processor, 2GB DDR3L RAM, and 64GB storage. Protecting these optimised innards is the aluminium chassis the Harvey Norman Charge+ uses.

Powering all that is a pre-installed Microsoft Windows 10 ¬†operating system. Paired with that are one year’s worth of free subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and full access to the Dewan Eja translator program.

Being a new product, Harvey Norman has revealed a Chinese New Year Bonanza offer where the first 500 units sold will come with a free screen warranty care service, Logitech M337 Bluetooth Mouse, Beyerdynamic Earphones, WD Elements 750GB External HDD, and a KingMax 32GB microSD Card. This offer is available for a limited time only.
